We love capturing breathtaking aerial views to showcase your property and highlight its unique features. However, drone coverage is subject to important rules and limitations—many of which are outside our control. Please review the information below to better understand what can affect our ability to fly a drone at your property:

1. FAA Regulations and Legal Requirements

  • Airspace Restrictions: Drones cannot be flown near airports, heliports, or in certain restricted airspaces (such as military bases or national parks) without special authorization.
  • No-Fly Zones: Some areas are permanently designated as no-fly zones by the FAA, including major cities and government buildings.
  • Maximum Altitude & Distance: Drones are restricted to certain heights (typically 400 feet above ground) and must always remain within the pilot’s line of sight.
  • Certification: All drone pilots at HomeSnapp are FAA Part 107 certified for commercial work.

2. Weather Conditions

  • Wind: Strong winds can make it unsafe or impossible to launch or control a drone.
  • Rain, Snow, or Fog: Drones cannot be flown safely or legally in precipitation or poor visibility.
  • Lightning: For safety, drones will never be flown if thunderstorms are in the area.

3. Property and Local Restrictions

  • Property Policies: Some properties—including private communities, state parks, or religious sites—may not permit drone use due to privacy, safety, or liability concerns. Please confirm drone access with your HOA or property management before scheduling.
  • Local Laws: Certain towns, municipalities, or public spaces may have additional drone restrictions, including required permits or outright bans.
  • Permits: If a permit is required for drone use at your property or location, obtaining and paying for the permit will be the client’s responsibility.

4. Privacy and Safety

  • Crowded Areas: Drones will not be flown directly over people, neighboring properties, or areas where there’s risk of injury.
  • Sensitive Locations: We avoid flying near sensitive areas such as schools or locations with heightened privacy concerns.

5. Technical and Logistical Issues

  • Battery Life: Drone flight time is limited by battery capacity, which may restrict coverage if the shoot is spread out or requires long waits between flights.
  • Interference: Wireless interference, tall structures, or dense forests can make safe operation difficult.

6. Our Commitment to You

We will always do our best to provide stunning aerial coverage whenever conditions and regulations allow. If drone footage becomes impossible due to any of the reasons above, we’ll communicate clearly and work with you to find creative alternatives for showcasing your property.
